Mother & Child - the race beneficiary & non-profit - works with parents during pregnancy and children’s early infancy years; offering classes, supplies, individual/family counseling, and connections to resources; with many families facing adversity and trauma. Being a referral choice of healthcare providers, 211, DHS, non-profits, and many others – M&C works with over 1,600 moms, 2,400 children, and countless parents each year. Services at M&C are not restricted to income, relation of parent to child, or demographic to equalize and build a community of competent and confident parents
Volunteers will help with planning the 11th Annual Run Mama Run PDX, held at Mt. Tabor Park over Mother's Day weekend. Planning to take place at Mother & Child Education Center - the race's benefiting non-profit - which supports parents during their children's early infancy years. Coordinating this event takes numerous people and numerous skill sets: procuring donations/sponsors, submitting permits, recruiting volunteers, and helping on day-of-event as a volunteer lead.
Mondays 10am-2:30pm
Tuesdays 10am-2:30pm
Wednesdays 10am-2:30pm
Thursdays 10am-2:30pm
Volunteer times are FLEXIBLE within these hours. Days and times to be approved by project manager.
