Celebrate with Us - Early Learning (age 18+) *Hands On*
Early Learning Multnomah (ELM) is one of 16 regional early learning hubs working across Oregon. We believe every child can be successful in school and work hard to ensure children of color age six and under get what they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond. We disrupt the structural barriers families of color face when their young children are growing and learning-through partnerships, family-driven priorities, and parent voice and engagement.
Our parent group (Parent Accountability Council (PAC)) is hosting the 5th Annual Celebration at Gateway Discovery Park. This event is a celebration for the parents and their children who have participating in ELM’s work over the past 5 years along with our partners and supporters. We expect well over 250 people and rely on volunteers to ensure a successful event!
Volunteers are needed for event set up, greeters and registration table; arts & crafts assistants (ie face painting and animal balloons), photo “booth” assistants, playground safety, clean up. Do message us if you speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali or Russian. Sign up below, volunteer shifts:
Entire event day: 8:30- 2:00PM OR
Half day shifts: 8:30 AM – 11:00 or 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
