Opportunity Details

Free Market at Rigler School w/Latino Network (age 16+) *Hands On*

Hands On Managed projects offer you an opportunity to join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Volunteer Leader

If you’re passionate about supporting families and connecting with communities, this opportunity is for you! Join us at Rigler Elementary on the 2nd Monday of each month for our Free Food Market, offered in partnership with the Oregon Food Bank. We’ll be setting up tables of food, registering people and distributing information, and holding a space where every community member can come to stock their kitchens and pantries.

This food market is hosted by Rigler Elementary’s SUN program. SUN stands for Schools Uniting Neighborhoods, and has a number of offerings including an afterschool program for kids, nutrition assistance programs such as this market, adult classes, and many more! Our mission is to support students’ success in school by helping families access needed resources.

MISSION
Latino Network's mission is to positively transform the lives of Latino youth, families, and communities throughout Portland, Oregon.
