Brighten a Senior's Day - Become a Volunteer Driver! (age 21+) Referral

Did you know that one of the most prevalent issues facing seniors today is social isolation? When people start to age and are no longer able to drive, their ability to build community and experiences becomes much harder. As seniors are at a heightened risk of illness, especially now, they need safe rides to essential errands like doctors appointments or grocery store trips.

Get behind the wheel and help drive our 14-passenger van and/or shuttle to various sites around Portland. Drivers will be trained in conjunction with Ride Connection. This position is flexible, Monday - Friday from 8-4pm.

Through Neighborhood House's Senior Transportation Services, we promote active and healthy lifestyles for seniors and assist them to live independently, offering services to enhance life socially, physically, and intellectually, with an emphasis on promoting choice and dignity.

Help a senior build community and explore the wonders of Portland today!

Neighborhood House is a leading Portland-non-profit social service provider, delivering innovative, life-changing programs for low-income people of all ages and backgrounds. Our programs strive to prepare children for success in school and life, help families move beyond poverty, and support seniors who wish to continue living independently.
