Grocery Volunteer - North Clackamas School District (age 18+) Referral

Clackamas Service Center (CSC) is an inclusive "one-stop" community center for individuals and families seeking food relief and resources for improved health, dignity, and stability.

CSC relies on a robust team of volunteers to connect our members to crucial services. Over 300 people volunteer at CSC each year, contributing over 8,000 hours in total. We truly couldn’t do this work without our amazing volunteers!

Position located at Oak Grove Elementary and Lot Whitcomb Elementary:
-Monday from 1pm-3:30 Oak Grove Elementary
-Thursday from 1pm-2:30pm Lot Witcomb Elementary

  • Minimum commitment 3 months

  • Available shifts Monday 1pm-3:30pm or Thursday 1pm-2:30pm

  • Access to transportation to volunteer at school sites

  • Position is fully outdoors

  • Dress appropriately for outdoor weather conditions

  • Responsible for setting up grocery pick-up station and takedown

  • Duties include unloading/loading groceries from CSC truck

  • Keep a record of the distribution amount

  • Work alongside CSC staff member

  • Families accessing services are required to wear a facemask

Requested Skills/Desired Attributes:

  • Bilingual Spanish or Russian

  • Experience working in social services

  • Follow all COVID safety-rules at their volunteer site or project

  • Wash their hands, at a minimum, before and after their volunteering

  • Maintain physical distancing while volunteering, to the extent practicable

  • Wear a cloth or disposable face covering at all times while volunteering.
