Head Kitchen Cook Volunteer (age 18+) Referral


The Clackamas Service Center is dedicated to helping homeless and low-income individuals and families live a healthy lifestyle by providing critical services designed to promote self-sufficiency. 

Head Kitchen Cook Volunteer:
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am-12:30pm

  • Available for 1 or more shifts per week

  • Can commit a minimum of 3 months

  • Experience preparing and cooking food

  • Must have a food handlers card or be able to obtain one

  • Face mask required must be worn properly over nose and mouth

  • Able to be given instructions and work independently for the duration of shift

  • Comfortable standing for the duration of shift

  • Ability to carry 40lbs upstairs

  • Must watch Food Safety Video and follow food safety policies at all times

  • Responsible for cleaning kitchen station and washing dishes

  • Volunteer must follow social distancing when possible

  • Eating is drinking must be done outside the kitchen area

  • Lunch services are from 1-2:30pm cook volunteer have the option to stay and serve lunch

Volunteers in this position will sustain the vital meal services that we provide.

  • Follow all COVID safety-rules at their volunteer site or project

  • Wash their hands, at a minimum, before and after their volunteering

  • Maintain physical distancing while volunteering, to the extent practicable

  • Wear a cloth or disposable face covering at all times while volunteering.

If you or any member of your household is experiencing any symptom of COVID-19, or has exhibited any symptom in the past 14 days, please do not sign up for a volunteer activity at this time.
