Projects In Need of a Lead! Lead a Regular Project with Hands On (age 16+)
Volunteer Leader, these projects need YOU!
Our Volunteer Leaders (or VLs) are essential to our team and help us to ensure that all aspects of our volunteer projects run smoothly. As the face of Hands On Greater Portland at the project, our VLs serve as a liaison between our organization and the host agency, and make sure that volunteers have a positive and rewarding experience.
Are you excited to step up as a leader but not sure about the time commitment? Let us know! We can often split project leadership between VLs and we are always looking for back up leaders to jump in if one of our regular leaders can't make it to the project.
All Volunteers Leaders must be at least 16 years old and are required to have gone on at least one or two *Hands On* managed projects (look for *Hands On* listed in the project titles on our Project Calendar) prior to signing up for our Volunteer Leader Training.
Please read through the Volunteer Leader Position Description to learn more about the role and tasks of a VL and then submit an application to get started. We look forward to hearing from you!
Below are a list of the specific projects that need Volunteers Leaders.
