Beaverton Recycling Day 2012 (age 16+) Referral
Each year, Beaverton’s Neighborhood Association Committees (NACs) partner with the City, the Beaverton Committee for Citizen Involvement (BCCI), and several recycling vendors to help the community recycle items that are not taken each week at the curb.
This free event requires dozens of volunteers to help people unload their cars, direct traffic, and other duties. For each four hour shift worked, your neighborhood receives funds from the City to be used for the NAC. Last year, this amounted to about $48 for each shift worked. The money is used by your neighborhood to fund great projects and events throughout the year.
The two shifts available are 8 am to noon or 11 am to 3 pm. Volunteers are also encouraged to work both shifts.
Come out to volunteer, so your neighborhood can boast that it provided the most number of volunteers and also received the largest portion of funds.
