Mind+Body Fair and Fun Run at Laurelhurst Park (age 18+) Referral

Come join us for a day of fun on Mother's Day at the Girls Inc. of Northwest Oregon Mind+Body Fair!

Girls Inc. of NW Oregon presents the Mind+Body Fair and coinciding fun run. The event is designed to bring mothers and daughters from throughout our community together to learn to appreciate their bodies, discover new and exciting ways to ensure regular fitness activity, discover delicious routes to nutrition and healthy eating, and practice strategies to healthily reduce stress.

WHO: If you're looking to help Girls Inc. achieve our mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold, we're looking for you! Women and men interested in volunteering for various roles on the day-of-the-event are needed. This should be a fun day to spend outside and celebrate the health and wellness of women and daughters!

Various roles and shifts are available and include:

  • Set-up and tear down;

  • Help facilitate the run;

  • Help register attendees at the check-in table;

  • Activity booth help;

  • Food vendor concierge and additional help;

WHERE: Laurelhurst Park

WHEN: Mother’s Day: Sunday May 12th, 2013

HOW: Express interest through our easy application process through HandsOn, and Darby Burn Strong will set-up a time for you to have a quick phone conversation to explore your particular interests for this opportunity!

  • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity.
