Support Beaverton City Library! Book Sale Set Up (age 13+) Referral

Help the Beaverton City Library offer more!

Friends of the Beaverton City Library supports the library and its programs by selling affordable, gently used books and audio-visual materials donated by the public at The Book Corner. Proceeds from these sales and a yearly Silent Auction are given to the Main Beaverton City library and the Murray-Scholls Branch Library each year. We accept donations of clean, gently used books, movies (DVD), music CDs, and audio books (CDs & cassettes). We also help fulfill the Beaverton City Library’s “Wish List” twice a year, which has included Blu-ray movies, computers and printers, children’s room furniture, a wide variety of books, shelving, staff training and a directional kiosk.

Volunteers are needed to ensure this book sale is a success - this is Beaverton's first two day sale! We'll meet in the lobby of the Beaverton City Library. SUVs and cars will be loaded nearby with boxes of books, which we'll work together to move inside the library. The boxes need lifting and handcarting to the library side door where you will be directed to which table to take the boxes to.

We need both people to lift boxes of books, to help deliver them, and people to unload the books from the boxes and place them between bookends. You're welcome to volunteer to just move boxes, just unloading books out of boxes, or both. Snacks and drinks will be available!

Join us and support your local library - click "Express Interest" below and a coordinator will follow up with you.
