Atticus' Wish Come True: The Green Machine vs. Timbers (age 18+) Referral
The mission of Make-A-Wish Oregon is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
On May 1st, we will be granting one such wish for 8 year old Atticus.
Atticus found out he had cancer last fall when he started to feel pain while playing soccer. Because of his treatment, Atticus missed the last soccer game of his season. But through it all, his soccer buddies were there to support him. So when he was asked to choose a wish, Atticus decided to scrimmage with the Portland Timbers! Not only will this wish allow him to play soccer with his favorite players, it will also allow him to include his whole soccer team.
This scrimmage will take place on May 1st at 11:30am and last until approximately 12:15pm. The event is free and all are welcome to attend. We are currently looking for individuals who would be willing to help clean up after this magical event from 12:15-1:45pm.
