Hollywood Farmers Market Volunteers (age 10+) Referral
"Where local growers bring in the harvest each week and the neighborhood celebrates!"
The Hollywood Farmers Market needs approximately 25 volunteers each Saturday from May through November. Volunteers enable our market to function. They greet customers and answer their questions about the market, help with special events, allow vendors working solo to take breaks, set up market equipment in the morning, take it down in the afternoon, and much more!
There are several different shifts that you can participate in at the market, offering something for everyone.
Volunteer Roles and Shifts:
Set-up- 7:00 – 8:00am. Unload our storage space, set up tents, tables, and chairs. Place signage along Sandy Blvd., arrange Info Booth display, etc. This position can include heavy lifting.
Greeting- 8:00 – 10:30am, 10:30am – 1:00pm. Greeters wander the market answering questions and directing customers to their favorite vendors. Greeters give market-vendors bathroom breaks, take pictures, hand out dog biscuits and handbills, and perform the hourly customer count. This volunteer role involves more interaction with customers and vendors than any other.
Information Booth- 8:00 – 10:30am, 10:30am – 1:00pm. Info Booth volunteers staff the Hollywood Farmers Market booth. Duties include answering customer questions, selling market merchandise, and filling in for the customer count when needed.
Break-down- 12:45 – 2:00pm. Break-down volunteers take the market apart and repack our storage space at the end of the day. This includes taking down tents and umbrellas, stacking chairs, removing signage, and helping pack up the Info Booth materials.
Opportunity Requirements:

Volunteers must be 10 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 15 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
