New Friends of the Beaverton City Library
http://www.bookcornerbeaverton.org/Our mission Cooperate with the library in expanding services to the community Promote the development of library programs Create and foster an appreciation of library services Support and strengthen the library We accomplish this mission by selling affordable, gently used books and audio-visual materials donated by the public at The Book Corner, The New Friends of the Beaverton City Library used book store. Proceeds from these sales and a yearly Silent Auction are given to the Main Beaverton City library and the Murray-Scholls Branch Library each year. We accept donations of clean, gently used books, movies (DVD), music CDs, and audio books (CDs & cassettes). We also help fulfill the Beaverton City Library’s “Wish List” twice a year, which has included Blu-ray movies, computers and printers, children’s room furniture, a wide variety of books, shelving, staff training and a directional kiosk.
