Through programs like Mercado, Centro carries out its mission to promote social and economic development, meet basic human and community needs, and increase cultural consciousness and understanding among diverse groups in the community.
About the Project
Mercado is one of Centro’s many community programs. It is set up to look and feel like a store, giving individuals and families the dignity of choosing the food and items they need. Mercado is intentionally designed and stocked with culturally appropriate foods and resources that reflect and support the community we serve.
Volunteers will be helping to sort, organize and shelf food products to help serve our community.
Project Requirements
- Age: Volunteers must be 18+;
- Dress code: Closed‑toe shoes; comfortable attire suitable for light activity.Notice
