Volunteer Opportunity
Ukandu is hosting the grand opening of our new family resource center, The Loft, and we're looking for volunteers to help us prep for the event! From cleaning spaces to putting together welcome packets, your help is so appreciated!
About the Program
Ukandu creates hope, joy, and connection for families battling childhood cancer through programs, services, and experiences outside the hospital setting.
We serve the entire family – from diagnosis through treatment, and beyond – with one-on-one and group mental health services, overnight camps, and a first-of-its-kind community space where kids can be kids again, and families can heal together. We offer all of this 100% free of charge.
About the Project
Ukandu has been supporting families impacted by childhood cancer since 1986, and on October 17th we will be opening the doors of our brand-new, year-round family resource center, providing free-of-charge support and services for families.
This volunteer project will be helping us prepare for the grand opening of our center! From cleaning spaces to putting together welcome packets, your help is so appreciated!
Project Requirements
- Age: Volunteers must be 16+; under 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
- Dress code: Closed‑toe shoes; comfortable attire suitable for light activity.Notice
