Restore Quail Creek for Watershed Health (age 16+) Referral

Volunteer Opportunity

Let's remove invasive plants and improve the habitat along Quail Creek!

About the Program

The Westside Watershed Resource Center inspires action and awareness on behalf of watershed health. By participating in this restoration event, volunteers will directly support this mission through hands-on service that improves the health of the Quail Creek and the greater Tryon Creek watershed.

About the Project

Join the Quail Park neighborhood and Westside Watershed Resource Center in removing invasive plant species like English ivy and laurel along a section of Quail Creek. Quail Creek is a year-round flowing stream that flows into Tryon Creek. This is a great way to connect with nature and make a difference. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your own water bottle.

Tools, gloves, and refreshments will be provided!

Children 10+ are welcome, if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth 16+ may attend independently with parent permission.

Accessibility: This event will require bending over and walking on uneven surfaces.
