Help kids and families bring joy to the holidays by helping with 1st "Joy of Toys" event.

About the Project
This year is our first year to host the Joy of Toys event in Washington County - an event to make toys available for vulnerable families who are not qualified for ODHS benefit programs to receive toys.
Families can come shop for holiday toys for their kids for free. The event will have morning time slots (10am - 12pm) and afternoon time slots (4-6pm) where families can reserve a time to come and select toys.
Volunteers will help the families with wrapping toys. Volunteers will be helping families with toy selection for their kids, toy wrapping, helping with crowd control, event setup/break down.
Morning Shift- We need 5-10 volunteers in the morning shift to help with the morning slots for families to come select toys for their kids, help with wrapping the toys, overseeing children in the kid's waiting area, replenish the toys after the morning slots are finished to prep for the afternoon slots.
Afternoon Shift -We need 5-10 volunteers in the afternoon shift to help with the afternoon slots for families to come select toys for their kids, help with wrapping the toys, overseeing children in the kid's waiting area, replenish the toys as the supplies run low, and help with event clean up.
Volunteers can learn about event planning/coordination, How ODHS support vulnerable families and children in need of resources, and the program areas that ODHS offer for Oregonians.
Project Requirements
- Age: Volunteers must be 15+; under 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
