Volunteer Opportunity

We will be removing rip rap, collecting trash, and moving stones to make the beach toe and towel friendly.

About the Program

Human Access Project endeavors to make all Portland beaches and swimming spots safe, clean, and accessible to everyone.

About the Project

We hope you can join and help us make a difference. We will be picking up rocks and concrete chunks, clearing vegetation, and removing trash to improve access. Many hands make light work. This is an opportunity to make a major improvement to what has become a popular swimming spot.

Project Requirements

  • Age: Volunteers must be 10+; under 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
  • Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
  • Dress code: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience.
  • Additional Info.: Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
