Volunteer From Home; Emergency Dispatcher Needed! (age 16+) Referral
Red Cross Dispatchers field calls from First Responders and deploy Disaster Action Team (DAT) members to assist families affected by disasters. Most DAT calls are in response to single family house fires. Dispatchers sign up for on-call shifts that they are available for, take calls and deploy responders. This work can be done from home or from an office. On-call shifts are a minimum of 4 hours, at least 1 time per week.

Red Cross volunteers are eligible to receive training, free of charge, in all aspects of preparedness, response and recovery services. Trainings include, but are not limited to: Sheltering, Psychological First Aid, Client Casework, Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Assessment and more.
