Help Youth Succeed! Mentor a High School Student (age 18+) Referral

Help a student succeed! Be a mentor for a senior at Durham Education Center (the alternative center for the Tigard-Tualatin School District) to help him or her plan for post secondary opportunities such as: scholarship writing, career exploration, FAFSA, etc. As a mentor, you would come to Durham Education Center, working in the counseling office between 1-3 times a month for 1-2 hour sessions at a time, depending upon the needs of the student.

Our students typically attend PCC, a trade school, or go in to the field of work. Efforts by the mentor would be around these areas, helping the student develop and carry out specific plans to engage in one of those three areas.

Help us achieve the vision of Tigard -Tualatin School District - where every student thrives in school and graduates prepared to succeed.
