Prepare lunch for local seniors and make their day!
The Meals on Wheels Central Kitchen is a high-production environment working in a state-of-the-art 14,000 square foot industrial kitchen, where we produce over 5,700 meals every day! Volunteers will work with kitchen staff to support efficient production of meals which may include assisting with the pre-plate program for distribution into individual hot meal trays, preparing cold meal packs, and assisting with backing and salad prep.
Volunteers must wear long pants and closed toed shoes to volunteer in the kitchen. All volunteers must fill out the Meals On Wheels Volunteer Registration form prior to volunteering. Please plan on joining us for lunch after the project if you are available.
Meals on Wheels People seeks to enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining independence by making available nutritious food, social contact, and other resources. Over 5,000 meals are served daily to homebound seniors and others at 34 meal sites.

Project Requirements:

Volunteers must be 7 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 14 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a Youth Volunteer Release Form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Please download, complete, and bring this waiver with you on the day of the project.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
