Columbia Springs Cleanup & Restoration (age 7+) *MLK Weekend 2019*

Join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to our community: "Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve."
-- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Columbia Springs is a 100-acre natural area, education center, and historic hatchery. We provide 2+ miles of recreational hiking, workshops, tours, and on-site festivals. Our education team engages every 5th graders in the Evergreen and Vancouver school districts on 4 hour, science-based field trips. Serving over 7,000 students each school year, we are a leading environmental education center of SW Washington. In addition, we operate a historic trout hatchery, established in 1938. Our mission is to provide a unique setting where participants can engage in educational experiences, inspiring stewardship.

Volunteers can plan to work on park maintenance projects, including trail work, land restoration, tree planting, and other improvement projects.

Wear work appropriate clothing that will perform well with the winter conditions. We will provide gloves, tools, and snacks. We ask volunteers to bring a water bottle.

Please park in our public parking lot, located off of SE Evergreen Hwy. Once you have parked, you will enter the hatchery complex and follow signs to 'Swift Classroom'.
