Build Homes with Habitat for Humanity (age 16+) *MLK Weekend 2019*

Join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to our community: "Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve."
-- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

About:
Willamette West Habitat's mission is to see a world where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. We work in partnership with low-income families to offer them the chance to become a first-time homeowner. We don't give homes away, but we do adjust the monthly mortgage payment so that it's never more than 30% of their monthly income. Through this program, we are able to build homes, communities, and hope.

Project Description:
Volunteers will build houses as they work alongside other volunteers, staff members, and future homeowners. Tasks will vary, but volunteers may be working on framing, sheet rocking, installing windows, cleaning up site, painting, siding, etc. It's a great opportunity to not only learn a new skill and meet new people, but to give back to those in need!
Join us to make the dream of homeownership a reality for families in Beaverton!

Important Info:
We are currently building our newest neighborhood in Beaverton, Denney Gardens. No experience necessary - training, tools and all you need to know in order to do the tasks for the day will be provided!
