Meet Your Community! Help Out at ReClaim It (age 16+) Referral
ReClaim It has salvaged over 1,000,000 pounds of material from the landfill since our debut in 2014. We're currently seeking volunteers who would be excited to sort through art supplies, textiles, and items gleaned from the Metro Transfer Station, help out on the sales floor, or do small repairs! Our goal at ReClaim It is to reduce the amount of items that end their journey at the landfill and raise awareness about creative reuse.
Volunteers can gain retail skills in customer service and experience being in a retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work with volunteers and customers who are from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances. We also offer repairs training for volunteers interested in light carpentry and reupholstery.
Arrange an orientation and get started! No long-term or monthly minimum hours requirement, but most volunteers visit weekly or bi-weekly if they're able. Volunteers are welcome to join us Wednesday-Sunday from 11pm-5pm.
Please wear closed-toed shoes. Both reusable and disposable gloves can be provided. Tetanus shot is strongly recommended.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
