Opportunity Details

Project Day at the Beaverton ReStore (age 14+)*Impact Week 2022*

At Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves a stable and affordable place to call home. The Habitat for Humanity Portland Region ReStores are home improvement stores and donation centers – open to the public – that sell new and gently used furniture, home decor, appliances, building materials and more at discounted prices. The funds generated from the ReStores support Habitat for Humanity Portland Region’s homebuilding and home repair programs.
A hammer isn’t the only thing you can lift to lend a hand in creating affordable homeownership. Gain new skills, meet new people, and have fun all while making a difference! No experience required to volunteer with us. Projects may include painting, landscaping, organizing shelves, pricing donated items, rearranging/putting together furniture, and more. With your help, the ReStores can help raise money to build housing, while also diverting tons of material from ending up in a landfill.
This may be a carwash style project to help us clean the large trucks used for picking up donations. This is still a work in progress if it will be possible, but I will email with a description update if it is confirmed.
Attire: Close toed shoes, pants knee-length or longer, tshirt/sweatshirt, comfortable loose fitting work clothes, no sleeveless shirts or tanktops. Please wear layers to accommodate the weather, but most work will be completed indoors. All personal protection equipment and tools will be provided. Masks are optional, but please feel free to wear one.
Parking lot available, Accessible by TriMet MAX (Blue), Buses #20, 52, 53, 54, 57, 58, 61, 76, 78, 88
