Working Theory Farming Day (age 14+)*Impact Week 2022*

Our mission is to empower youth through the shared work of farming to grow food for partner organizations who distribute this food to families in need. In the past three years, we were able to donate over 30,000 lbs of food! Through growing a variety of vegetables and raising livestock on our organic farm, we provide alternative education and avenues of employment to youth who have barriers to thriving within traditional systems and teach personal responsibility, social responsibility, and professional skills.
The work you will be doing is outdoors so make sure to wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and are weather appropriate. Boots are available on the farm to borrow if you don't have appropriate shoes. Gloves will also be provided, but bring your own if you have a favorite pair. Bring your own water bottle, sunscreen, and snacks. Masks are optional, but please feel free to wear one.
We'll meet at the gravel driveway with the farm stand. There should be enough parking, but feel free to park on the adjacent neighborhood streets if the farm drive is full. We've seen a lot of development over the last several years, so you may not believe you're approaching a farm until you pull right up to it! Please drive slowly on SE Davis Rd. There are limited sidewalks and it's a popular pedestrian throughway. Accessible by Bus #57.
