Kit Building with Community Energy Project (age 16+)*Impact Week 2022*
Community Energy Project provides free home services focused on safety, health, and energy efficiency. We provide free community education and supplies, as well as direct home energy upgrades and repairs. All our services are made possible by partnerships with community members and service organizations, utilities, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
Volunteers will receive a brief orientation for how to create our Weatherization workshop kits. All kit materials will need to be organized into individual kits to distribute to future workshop participants. Our team will be available for any questions during this project.
The work you will be doing is indoors. Please wear comfortable shoes as you may be standing for long stretches of time during this project (*We happily welcome volunteers that are not able to stand and need accessibility accommodations).
Project Requirements:

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.

All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a Youth Volunteer Release Form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Please download, complete, and bring this waiver with you on the day of the project.

If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
