No Ivy Day 2023: Forest Park (age 6+) *Hands On*

Portland Parks & Recreation: Portland Parks & Recreation's mission is to provide equitable access to welcoming places, programs, and services that improve community health and our environment.

About this Opportunity
Join Portland Parks & Recreation's No Ivy League for a morning of ivy removal in Forest Park. This is where it all started 20 years ago. Come learn more about Forest Park, the largest park within city limits in the US, which is over 5,000 acres.

Volunteers will be hiking in about ½ mile to our ivy removal worksite. Volunteers will be hiking and working off trail on uneven ground.

Volunteers can learn more about Portland's urban ecosystems and how they are stewarded by the city and partner community groups, as well as some techniques with invasive plant management.

What to Bring and Wear
Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle and snacks. Instruction, tools, gloves, water and snacks provide. There is a porta potty on site.
