About this Opportunity
Join NCPRD and the Wetlands Conservancy to celebrate Portland's No Ivy Day at Minthorn Springs Wetlands in Milwaukie. Volunteers will be pulling ivy from a muddy but beautiful wetland.

Where:
Meet behind the Dollar Tree at SE 37th Ave and Railroad Ave, Milwaukie, OR 97222.

Parking and public transit:
Closest parking at at the Milwaukie Marketplace, 10840 SE Oak St, Milwaukie, OR 97222. Public transit: #75 and the Orange Line.

Volunteers can learn more about Portland's urban ecosystems and how they are stewarded by the city and partner community groups, as well as some techniques with invasive plant management.

What to Bring and Wear
Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy waterproof boots, and bring a water bottle. Instruction, tools, water and snacks will be provided.

Project Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be 6 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 14 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.

  • All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a Youth Volunteer Release Form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Please download, complete, and bring this waiver with you on the day of the project.

  • If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
