Salvage Building Materials (age 14+) *STW 2012*
Reduce, recycle, reuse! Help reduce the flow of useable building materials into the waste stream by volunteering at the Rebuilding Center's nonprofit resource center for used building materials. We'll be doing a hands-on project, so come ready to work and have fun!
Tasks may include: sorting materials such as trim, lighting, tile, and miscellaneous materials, pulling nails, sweeping, measuring doors, and more. The ReBuilding Center’s needs are different every day.
Closed-toe shoes are required. Please bring a water bottle and work gloves if you have them. Dress for the weather as our building is not climate controlled very warm or cold based on the outside temperature. Some tasks may involve medium to heavy lifting.
Note: Volunteers must be age 14+ to volunteer on this project.

>> The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable even if you do not attend the project that you sign up for. But rest assured that your contribution is supporting volunteer initiatives throughout the Greater Portland region.
