Restore Local Nature Parks (age 10+) *STW 2012*

Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District is a special service district that provides parks and recreational opportunities and services for citizens of all ages in Beaverton and other ares of eastern Washington County.

On Saturday, October 13th we'll be restoring Mitchell Park by removing invasive English ivy and Himalayan blackberry along Beaverton's North Johnson Creek. This has been an ongoing effort and your help will bring us closer to our goal, plus you'll get to see some big progress by the end of the day! Closed-toe shoes required; dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Tools, gloves, and guidance will be provided.

On Sunday, October 14th we'll be restoring the forested Bethany Wetland area by removing invasive English ivy. Help us kick off restoration at this site and improve the park for generations to come! Closed-toe shoes required; dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Tools, gloves, and guidance will be provided.

Note: Volunteers age 10-13 may volunteer along with a responsible adult.
