MLK Day Habitat Enhancement and Fundraiser (all ages) Referral

Dr. Martin Luther King Junior dedicated his life to advancing civil rights and fighting racism and oppression. To honor his legacy, we will be fundraising for BIPOC led organizations working for racial justice and leading a habitat enhancement event at Powell Butte.

We know that groups often look for service opportunities on Dr. MLK Jr. day, and our organization has long held an event on this day of service. If you would like to participate, we encourage everyone to volunteer AND DONATE to a BIPOC led group working for racial justice.

Not sure who to support? Register now and receive an emailed list of suggested organizations.

Volunteers will learn skills needed for restoration, including wildflower planting, grubbing and weeding. There will also be conversation about racial justice and the intersection with the environmental movement.
