Help with "Toss For a Cause" - A Day in the Park (age 18+) Referral

Housecall Providers is a local non-profit providing primary care medical services and hospice to people with advanced illness in the Portland Metro Area. Our mission is "Improving lives by bringing health care home."

Volunteers Needed! Housecall Providers presents - Toss For a Cause

On Saturday June 1 st, Housecall Providers will host at least than 25 Portland-area community nonprofits at Sellwood Park, as they compete in a cornhole tournament for the inaugural title of "Portland Toss for a Cause Champion 2024." The day will feature music and a wide variety of entertainment as well as two delicious food carts and a beer garden. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore "Nonprofit Row" where they can learn about the missions of each organization competing and find out about ways to get involved.

Volunteers are needed to staff information booths, supervise various activities, assist with tournament play, keep score, and help with, set-up and take down. If you are available to help any time between 8am and 6pm on Saturday, June 1st or would like more info, please contact Todd Lawrence at volunteers@housecallproviders.org. A background check is required to volunteer.

Volunteer Shifts:
8:45am to noon - Set-up Volunteers
Noon to 4pm - Event Help
4pm to 6:30pm - Strike down/Clean-up Volunteers

This is a great opportunity for you to not only support Housecall Providers, but also other human-services non-profits from throughout our entire community. All while spending a beautiful, fun-filled day in the park.

Opportunity Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity.
