Opportunity Details

Marshall Park Stewardship Event (age 6+) *Hands On*

Hands On Managed projects offer you an opportunity to join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Volunteer Leader

Portland Parks & Recreation's - Natural Area Stewardship program works with volunteers of all ages to help enhance and restore Portland Parks natural areas, to provide habitat to wildlife and insects, and provide safe trails to park visitors.

About this Opportunity

Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Marshall Park Neighborhood Association for a morning of stewardship at Marshall Park, through which flows the main stem of Tryon Creek, which supports a healthy coastal cutthroat trout population.

How to prepare: Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your own personal water bottle and snacks. PP&R will provide tools, gloves, and instruction.

Interested in signing up a large group? If you are interested in bringing 10 or more volunteers to this event, please contact the organizer beforehand - we may or may not be able to accomodate your group at the event. If we cannot accomodate you at this specific event, we can work with you to find another time to come volunteer!

Interested in court-ordered community service opportunities with the City of Portland? Please call 503-823-5121 before volunteering.
