Rock the Dock (13+) *Impact Week 2025*

Community Impact Week, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette, powered by Hands On Greater Portland

Join Human Access Project in partnership with SOLVE for a large-scale cleanup of the riverbank at Duckworth Dock. Human Access Project endeavors to make all Portland beaches and swimming spots safe, clean, and accessible to everyone. SOLVE brings communities together to take care of our environment and enhance our waterways. We hope you can join and help us make a difference. We will be picking up rocks and concrete chunks, clearing vegetation, and removing trash to improve access. Many hands make light work, this is an opportunity to make a major improvement to what has become a popular swimming spot.

Meeting Location: Meet at Peace Memorial Park, NE Lloyd Boulevard & Northeast Oregon St, Portland, OR 97227
The group will walk down to Duckworth Dock together at 10:00.

Project Location: Duckworth Dock

What to Bring: Volunteers are encouraged to bring any personal supplies that will help our resources go further such as garbage bags, work gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, etc. If you bring personal belongings, wear a backpack so that you can pick up trash hands free. Volunteers should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a rain jacket if the forecast calls for rain and wear sunscreen and a hat if it is sunny. This event will go on rain or shine. It is also recommended that volunteers bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event.
