Organization Profile

9 Bridges Writers (Portland Chapter)

http://www.9bridges.org

Our mission is to create safe, supportive communities throughout the world, where writers can hone their craft and support and mentor their peers. We help close gaps in a writer’s knowledge of the craft by bringing together aspiring beginners and seasoned professionals who can learn and grow from each other. We encourage diversity by exposing writers to new experiences, new genres and new points of view through contact with fellow authors from different communities. We provide venues and opportunities for writers to write, publish and promote their work. We offer write-ins (where writers can write and discuss in a group setting), critique groups, a virtual facebook community, anthologies (for writers to get published), and the NW book Festival.
