https://urbangleaners.org/Urban Gleaners is a grass roots organization that focuses on food recovery in Portland. Our mission is to work with the local food industry to alleviate waste and hunger. We rescue wholesome food that would otherwise be thrown away from grocery stores, restaurants and farmers markets and redistribute it to hungry children in 17 elementary school pantries and two pantries at low-income housing in East Portland.
