How does this program partner with nonprofits?
As our strongest link to the Portland Metro community, Volunteer Leaders ensure that every Hands On volunteer has a positive experience and that the volunteer needs of our nonprofit partners are being met. Our Leaders are the gatekeepers to our Hands On calendar projects, helping us facilitate great volunteering experiences for hundreds of projects that host thousands of volunteers each year.
Volunteer Leaders are requested by our nonprofit partners to help them steward Hands On volunteers on our calendar project. Note not all of our partners request for volunteer Leaders so it’s best to check our Want to Join us Page or preview our Hands On Calendar to see if there is a project for you.
Leaders help us spread the importance of altruism and community making through service.
